THE REAL ME (TWO)

THE REAL ME (TWO)

"After 31years of observing them both in good and bad, I would say they are made for each other. They both compliment each other in every possible ways. I don’t think they can be the same if they were not committed to each other. But did they realized it or not that’s what more important, if they did then good for them probably they were living in heaven at this time, or if they are not, then still they have time to realize the fact. This is not just about them it can be applied to any of us "Did we realize our partners value? that 's what matters, right". Oh, I am realizing one more thing, they are married for 31 years it means I have three decades of the story to tell you guys. Let’s get started."

Before getting into the story, I thought it will be easy if I give names to the characters, for me to narrate and for you guys to keep tracking the story further. So the name of the boy is Mr.Ravi and the girl's name is Mrs. Seetha. Let's start the story for real this time😉😀

After marriage, Mr.Ravi and Mrs.Seetha started their family on their own in a nearby town where Mr.Ravi is working. Soon after they settle down, fortunately, or unfortunately because of some situation in Mr.Ravi's family, our newlyweds got to the reality during their honeymoon pace itself. Like they were in the situation to make big decisions financially and emotionally. I guess that may be good for them, because it may help them to break the ice between them and to understand each other sooner than they expected.

Between all those things our newlyweds were busy visiting their friends and families, as per our tradition. That is, we have a practice that closes relatives and friends will invite newlyweds to their home for a feast, right. I guess the reason for this tradition is to introduce their loved ones to the new member of the family at their best behavior to make the first impression the best as possible😉. And there is a bright chance for the new member to feel special and more welcomed to their spouse's family and this may help to create a beautiful bond in the new extended family. And maybe you can learn a lot about your spouse by simply observing your partner behaving with their family and friends without any effort, in no time😍. It would be really a great practice especially during those days when strangers are getting married. Most importantly if you have real people as your relatives or friends, then I must say this opportunity is a boom.

Now getting back to the story, Did our newlyweds had real people around? Well, I am not sure about that yet. Anyway, during such a visit to one of Mr.Ravi's relatives, it becomes a more special and most memorable day for their life. They got to know that Mrs. Seetha is pregnant, Yay!!😍. The couples were happy to know this exciting news. Then later after revealing this with the family's they confirmed the pregnancy with a Doctor who was running a hospital in a nearby town of Mr. Ravi's native place.

Just like any couples who are pregnant with the first child, everything was special and new to our couples and to their family as well. Since Mrs. Seetha is the elder in her family and her family is expecting their first grandchild they were even more excited than the other family, where two of  Mr.Ravi's siblings had their children before themselves. During her 8th month of pregnancy, they had their baby shower, and then as per tradition, Mrs.Seetha went to her mother's home for delivery.

Now is where this story is getting more interesting. In the consideration of the time period we are talking about, which is the late 80's where there was not even telephone communications exists. And Mrs. Seetha's native is a city which is known as the City of Jasmin and the most famous Goddess temple is walkable from her home. On every weekend Mr.Ravi started visiting her at her mother's place and in the evening they went on a walk to the world-famous temple by talking to each other. I would say it's really epic to imagine those moments what they had in life for real, you guys are lucky👍.

Now, things are getting more serious because the due date is closing by. Since this is her first pregnancy, she was not able to identify the difference between false pain and real labor pain so they were visiting the hospital often. During those visits when she was kept for observation in the labor ward Mr.Ravi has to wait outside. So whenever he hears a baby cry he was rushing to know was his child sound.

He was madly looking forward to holding his child and see the baby's face. I can totally understand the tension and excitement, as a mother of two all those mixed emotions are flashing in my mind even now, it's truly a magical experience which is hard to explain and can be felt by every single parent's during their pregnancy, even though the experience is unique but the feeling is universal. So now getting back to the story, even though he expected to meet his child so badly it was not the time yet, and a few times to avoid him getting disappointed Mrs. Seetha came to meet him to let him the baby sound was not theirs.

And finally,...

Mrs.Seetha is in labor. It was a Thursday morning and it was raining. She got admitted at 8a.m and she was already in pain so around 11a.m she delivered the baby. It was a normal delivery and it was a Baby GIRL, you guys🎇🎉🎊🎶. Both mother and daughter were good, what about the daddy who was waiting for this moment badly?? Before talking about that, let me tell you guys about the baby girl. She was not too thin or chubby, was taller than the average(So it's a manufacturing defect😏😅), was pink in color, and to describe in her mother's words "She looked like a Rose buddle😍(Roja poo mathiri iruntha😉).

So the delivery went well and both are doing just fine. The one who is struggling is Mr.Ravi. Since Thanthi was the only option to communicate a message faster in those days, Mrs. Seetha's family send one to Mr. Ravi immediately on Thursday. And the message was delivered to him on Friday morning at 9am through School's telephone which is exactly the prayer time in his school. Yes, he missed the message and the day at school is began.

Later sometime in that morning he finally got the news that He had a Girl Baby on Thursday, Nov 29th of 1990. He was out of the world to know the news and he was not sure what to do next. After getting back to reality, he realized that he cannot leave immediately since he was out of personal leaves to take and the day has already begun. So out of no other option to do immediately, he shared his happiness with his colleagues by distributing some sweets.

And sharply at 4p.m, he took his bicycle to reach the nearby town, from where he can take a bus to reach the city. And it was 9p.m when he finally reached the hospital. Now is the real twist, I am really feeling bad for him. Definitely it gonna be hard for him to accept that the visitor's time is up and he can only get inside in the morning during visitors' time. He tried his best to convenience the watchman to let him in at least for a few minutes. But the watchman was very clear about what he said and this is not the first time he was begged by people to do something like this. For him, it's just one among the many.

So Mr. Ravi decided to stay there at the hospital gate itself, even though his mother-in-law's house was nearby. Like I mentioned before it was a rainy day and there were too many mosquitoes and top of everything he was extremely tired and frustrated because of the roller coaster experience he had on that single day. Now, lying down on the ground all he was able to think is about his princess who arrived a day before yet he was not able to see.

By thinking about the baby and imagining how she will look he crossed the night. When the sun raised that day he was now set to see his daughter. And finally, he went to see her for the first time. When he saw the baby all his tiredness, frustration everything just went away, she looked like an angel to describe in her dad's words she was royal beauty, that he is not able to believe that this baby is his own and both her parent's eyes are filled with happy tears...

To be continued...
