Cakes are always extraordinary in that it has a magical power to change any ordinary situation into a special moment. Cakes are always fun to eat and to prepare too, at least for me it's always fun. Baking is something it keeps me surprising and keeps me interested always. In simple, I just love baking but it doesn't mean I am an expert😉.  Surely I keep learning.

What is so special about this recipe that made me do this post is, I learned this cake for my girl's birthday that accord during this lockdown time. Since we were not able to have guests for her birthday who all are loved once but still, we decided to do our best to make her day special as much as possible. We planned and executed all her favorite things on that day, everything turned out well, she enjoyed everything thoroughly, especially the cake she loved this combo of Chocolate and Orange, other than her everyone who tasted this cake gave me excellent reviews.

METHOD:

For the Chocolate Batter:

1. Grease well the cake pan with some oil or butter and preheat the oven to 350-degree Fahrenheit or 180-degree Celcius.
2. In a mixing bowl add milk, oil, and powdered sugar one by one, then mix it well with a whisk or spatula.
3. Once everything is mixed well add the vanilla essence and give it a quick mix.
4. Now take a sieve and place it in the mixing bowl, and then add all dry ingredients, maida, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Cocoa Powder one-by-one then sift them thoroughly to avoid any lumps and to add more air to the batter.
5. Now mix the wet and dry ingredients together slowly, just mix them until everything combine together and no need to overdo it.
6. Keep this batter aside and it's time to prepare the other batter as soon as possible for better results.

For the Orange Batter:

1. In a mixing bowl add milk, oil, and powdered sugar one by one, then mix it well with a whisk or spatula.
2. Now take a sieve and place it in the mixing bowl, and then add all the dry ingredients, maida, Baking Soda, and Baking Powder one by one then sift them thoroughly to avoid any lumps and to add more air to the batter.
3. Now add Orange zest to the bowl and mix everything well until all the wet and dry ingredients combine together without any lumps.
Now both the batters are ready and it's time to pour them into the cake pan.

To Make the Cake:

1. Now take a couple of same-sized ladles for each batter.
2. First, Take a scoop of  Orange batter and pour it completely in the center of the cake pan.
3. Then take a scoop of Chocolate batter and pour it on top of the Orange Batter and again the Chocolate Batter.
4. And repeat the same until all the batter you prepared is done.
5. This is my favorite part of this recipe, it's time to make some designs on the batter. For that, take a sharp stick or knife and just insert it into the batter on one end and drag it slowly towards the other end.
6. The design may vary according to the direction you are dragging the stick.
7. That's it after done with the design it's time to bake the cake.
8. After tapping the cake pan twice, place them into the preheated oven and bake it for 25-30mins or until the tester comes clean at 350-degree Fahrenheit or 180-degree Celcius.
9. That's all our super delicious Marble Cake is ready to be tasted.

NOTE:

1. In baking measurements and heat are the two important factors to make a moist, soft cake. So, Make sure you are following proper measurements and pre-heat the oven at least for ten minutes.
2. Unless you are well versed in baking don't change anything in this recipe for better results.
3. If you prefer a strong flavor you can add some more orange zest to the batter.
4. Using the same batter and the same method you can make cupcakes also. Kids will love it.
Here are my cupcakes, that I made using the same batter,
