BADAM BESAN BURFI

The festive spirit is all in the air, even though we live apart from home I can literally feel it. Maybe that's the magic of our tradition. I know everyone is busy making plans to make this festive season more special for our loved ones. What else would be perfect other than food😋😉 , just like the saying, "A way to man's heart is through his stomach" and I would love to reframe it, "A way to everyone's heart is through their stomach". Because who hates the tasty food right.

As a kid, I am not a foodie, to be specific I won't even eat food properly. I never showed any interest in snacks also, All I loved was fruits. But once we moved here and become a mom and started cooking for my family all on my own. It was surely hard at the beginning but later on, I start to enjoy cooking and eating as well. Then only my foodie self revealed itself slowly and I almost remembered all the variety of food I had in my life it's really surprising, I guess it means I am born foodie and just realized the truth😇😉😄.

Okay enough of me, let's talk about the Badam burfi now. Almonds are always our family's favorite, it's full of goodness and it's really yummy. So ultimately Badam Burfi is our family's favorite especially for my husband, other than milk sweets. The reason maybe it's mild sweetness and the fantastic flavor of almond. Don't worry preparing almond burfi is also easy. So let's start the preparation,

METHOD:

1. First, Soak almonds in water until the skin able to be peel off.
2. Then pat the wet almonds with a clean cloth to remove water from the almonds.
3. And add them to a mixie jar and grind to a coarse powder.
4. Now to a pan add a spoon of ghee and add besan and roast it in medium flame until it changed in color and turns aromatic. then transfer to a plate.
5. To the same pan add water and sugar, then keep boiling until to a one-string consistency.
6. Once the sugar syrup is ready add powdered almonds and mix it well.
7. Then add shifted besan along with ghee and give it a good mix.
8. Keep string for a few minutes until it starts separating from sides and coming together as a dough.
9. Then add to a greased surface and spread it evenly then garnish with thinly sliced almonds on top of it and push them a bit.
