 SIMPLE HOMEMADE WHITE PASTA


White pasta is well known and most likely food for kids. What attracts them is maybe its texture, color, or maybe the creaminess whatever the reason is, they love it. Now parent's job is to find out how we can make it as healthy as possible. If you agree with me then you will love this recipe for sure. Not just you, your kids also gonna love it. 

I want to share how I got to know about pasta. when I am in college, I stayed at a hostel for a couple of years. Then I and my friends came out of the hostel and rent a house in the nearby town, where we started to cook our food. During those days one of my friends introduced pasta to us. It was the one recipe among all the other dishes we tried, which came out really well(which was edible😉😅). Because no one of us was an expert in cooking those days. For most of us, that was the first real experience in the kitchen. 

Hence, the pasta was so cheap and tastes better than any other dishes we used to make them very often. The recipe was very basic nothing fancy about it, so every one of us was able to prepare it. Even though we had a chance to browse the internet, searching for a recipe was never on our minds. If we did so we might cook some good recipes at that time itself. But it's okay, except the taste of the food everything we did was just great. Those days are really my golden days. I completely enjoyed every moment of it.

 So coming back to the recipe, this particular recipe is one of my husband's signature dishes. He is the master chef for white pasta, most of the soup recipes, and a few other snacks and starters in our home. He loves cooking, and he is the one who always adds new dishes to our regular menu. And even though I can learn from him, we both prefer to keep these recipes as his own. And somehow he manages to prepare his dishes almost tastes fantastic all the time. So now, let's check out his first recipe, 

INGREDIENTS:

1. Pasta(Cooked)                      -2cup.
2. Milk                                           -11/2-2cup.
3. Broccoli                                   -1/2cup.
4. Mushroom                             -1/4cup.
5. Capsicum(Assorted)          -1/4cup.
6. Garlic(Minced)                    -1tbsp.
7. Salt                                           -as per taste.
8. Pepper Powder                    -1/4spoon.
9. Italian Seasoning               -1/2spoon.
10. Maida or Wheat flour    -1tbsp.
11. Cheese(Optional)             -as per preference.
12. Spinach                                - a few.

METHOD:

1. In a heavy bottom pan put some butter. Once it melted add minced garlic.
2. Then add cut broccoli and saute for a few seconds.
3. Next add sliced mushrooms and let it cook for a minute.
4. Once it got cooked a bit add frozen corn and sliced capsicum of available colors.
5. Keep them all a good mix along with some salt.
6. After a couple of minutes add the flour of your choice, Flour is a thickening agent here so if you want to prepare this healthier use wheat flour, otherwise maida is fine.
7. Let the flour cooked or roasted for a few seconds.
8. Now, add milk and let it boil along with all the vegetables.
9. Once the milk is boiled add all the dry ingredients like pepper powder, Italian seasoning, mixed herbs, or dried oregano.
10. Before adding pasta add finely chopped spinach. 
11. Next add cooked pasta to the sauce and let it cook for at least 10-15mins on low-medium flame.
12. Keep stirring in between to avoid the sauce at the bottom getting burned.
13. Once the pasta reached the creamy texture add some cheese if you want and switch it off.
14. Here is over mouthwatering Simple Homemade White Pasta is ready, garnish with some bell peppers and serve it hot.

METHOD WITH PICTURES:

11. Once the pasta reached the creamy texture add some cheese if you want and switch it off. Today we didn't add cheese.


12. Here is over mouthwatering Simple Homemade White Pasta is ready, garnish with some bell peppers and serve it hot.


NOTE:

1. Here I used lots of vegetables. But as I always say, feel free to make changes. You can add any vegetables like onion, carrot, and, beans. Or you can simply avoid all the vegetables except garlic and still you can make an awesome white pasta using this recipe.
2. And this recipe we prepared for our kids so avoided chili flakes. So if you like to have your pasta a bit spicy then add chili flakes while adding other dry ingredients.
3. Since we are using lots of milk and we used to prepare quite often we preferred to avoid cheese. If your preference is different then feel free to add some cheese at the end for a richer creamy texture.
