SIMPLE BESAN LADOO

SIMPLE BESAN LADOO

Diwali is a Festival of Lights it is the general definition that we all know but in reality, it's "Festival of Snacks"😉😂. Other than shopping for new trending dresses for the family preparing homemade Sweets and Snacks is the real celebration for most of us, right. Even though we have a variety of traditional snacks to make we still want to surprise our family with some new Snacks as well. So I am here with an interesting ladoo which even a beginner can make.

To mention my Diwali plan, I would prefer to have more number of dishes to feel the Festive Spirit. Because that's how I was brought up, When I was a kid for every Diwali we used to go to our grandparents' home. Not just my family all 6 of my dad's brother and sisters' family also will be there. And every family will bring some of their special snacks other than our grandmother's traditional snacks. In total we will be around 50 -60 people there so for all those 2 -3 days we were staying there we will be snacking all day long and when we leave from their grandmother will give to-go snacks to every single family which will be enough for at least 10days. That's how I remember Diwali. Those memories are just priceless. Since I can't recreate those days for my kids. Now, I prefer my kids to remember Diwali about all the variety of snacks we prepare every year for them with full of love💖😍.

Practically for two people with two small kids preparing so many snacks in a short time period is quite a task😅. So my choice is to go for snacks that are not too difficult or time-consuming, still tastes amazing😉💪. This Besan Ladoo is such a simple yet tasty snack so it will always top on my list. So enough of talking we have a lot to do, let us get started,

INGREDIENTS:

1. Besan                                            -11/2cup.
2. Sugar                                             -1/2cup.
3. Ghee                                               -1/2cup.
4. Cardamom                                   -1-2nos.
5. Almonds(For garnishing)      -3-5 nos.
6. Milk (optional)                            -4tbsp.

METHOD:

1. In a wide pan add ghee once it warm add besan little by little to avoid lumps and keep mixing.
2. Once you added all the besan now roast it in low-medium flame until it changed in color and turns aromatic.
3. Meanwhile add sugar and cardamom to a dry mixie jar and grind to a smooth powder.
4. Now after the besan roasted let it cool a bit.
5. Then add the sugar powder and mix everything together properly.

NOTE:

1.Since we are planing a variety of sweets I would like my snacks are not too heavy so I reduced ghee and added a bit of milk for this ladoo.
2. If you prefer to avoid milk and use ghee instead then grease your fingers with ghee while making ladoos.
3. If you decide to use milk then use boiled room temperature milk.
4. Even though we add milk in this recipe it will be good at least for a week without a fridge.
5. The mix may look shiny but when you making ladoos at the body temperature of your hand's ghee would melt a bit and will add a beautiful glace to the ladoos.
