 SWEET POTATO FRIES (BAKED)

Sweet potatoes are one of the healthiest root vegetables. Even though it from a family of potatoes, because of the dark colors like orange, yellow, or purple they are much healthier. The beta-carotene presents in the sweet potatoes is responsible for its color.  Beta-carotene can be converted to Vitamin A and help support your immune system and overall gut health. Other than this it can help in preventing cancer, better digestion, preventing diabetes, and it also helps to improve better brain development.

The fiber content in the sweet potatoes is the highlight. Because it contains soluble and insoluble fiber. Actually, our body cannot digest either. Therefore, fiber stays within our digestive tract and provides a variety of gut-related health benefits. From keeping us full for a longer time to lower the risk of colon cancer and more bowel movements. Thus it helps in healthy weight management, better vision, and even helps to have better skin and hair.

Wow!! these many benefits to eating a fantastic treat. Really eating sweet potatoes is like a treat, I just love the taste of it. When I am young my grandma used to cook them with Charcoal. Since she used Charcoal Stove for regular cooking, after finish with cooking she used to put sweet potatoes on them and serve us. there will be nothing no salt or anything just cooked in charcoal but the taste I really cannot describe in words. That simply fantastic. Whenever she made them no matter what I will there to enjoy them😋😍.

After that, I love to eat them steamed as well. Even though cannot compare the taste of my grandma's method, but still the taste will be good when cooked just right, not too mushy or too crunchy either. I am describing it too much isn't, I know. What to do? What else you can expect from a foodie like me??😅😛. And now When I tried these baked sweet potatoes it almost got a similar taste to my grandma's method. This is my recent crush. Whenever my husband going for groceries Sweet Potatoes are always on the list.

Because of its taste, even my kids love them. The real reason why I tried this method is my kids won't even touch any food if it is mushy. If we pressure cook it they won't even ready to try them. Then only to make it appealing for them I cut it the size of regular fries. Luckily they loved it. So here I am with the recipe t share with you guys so that you can also enjoy the benefits of this superfood with your entire family.

NOTE:

1. The reason I suggest using coconut or Olive oil in this recipe is that to make sweet potato more healthy, experts suggest using some fat along with it. So I thought if we can use Something healthy to fulfill that it would better that's it. So feel free to use whatever oil is available with you.
2. Even though sweet potatoes have the properties to prevent diabetes, the intake of sweet potatoes is not recommended for diabetic patients. The reason is Sweet Potatoes may cause a sudden increase in sugar levels in our body.
3. For better taste I would recommend shopping for purple Sweet potatoes mostly available in Indian grocery stores.
