 ADAI WITH BOTTLE GOURD

Adai is a healthy recipe that is made up of mixed lentil, rice, and, some spices. Adai is one of the high protein food in SouthIndian cuisine. Since it's full of a variety of dhal it's absolutely healthy, to make it even better we are going to include bottle gourd as well again which is well known for its wonderful health benefits including healthy weight loss.

Bottle gourd is low in calories, 100gms of Bottle gourd(Lauki) just contains 15calories. Other than this it is also full of important nutrients for our body like vitamin C, zinc, thiamine, magnesium, manganese,  folate, and iron. It's believed that eating Bottle gourd regularly can help to regulate your digestion, relieves constipation, reduces water retention, improves the efficiency of the liver, and help to healthy weight loss as well.

The bottom line is by adding bottle gourd with a high-protein food like adai makes it lite so it's suites just fine for everyone at our homes regardless of age. Our motto in the kitchen is Tasty and Healthy so I would say that this recipe is a classic example of our lifestyle that we love to achieve in our kitchen. And moreover adding bottle gourd doesn't just make it lite and healthy but it also makes this recipe so tasty as well.

Because my mom used to prepare traditional plain adai I was never a fan of it. I felt it's too heavy and it was hard to digest. After tried this recipe I felt lots of difference and that's how I tasted bottle gourd for the first time in my life and I just enjoyed its flavor and its texture thoroughly. Now my kids also love to eat this adai they used to call this pappu dosa and their all-time favorite combo is butter and jaggery with tasty adai.

So I would love to suggest you guys try this recipe as it is at least once to enjoy all the goodness of this recipe. Now without any delay let's checkout how I prepare Adai with bottle gourd. Here comes the ingredients list,

NOTE:

1.Since we have added lots of bottle gourd in it the cooking time will be less compared to plain adai.
2. Instead of bottle gourd you can also add finely chopped onion, or, Ridge gourd. I personally love ridge gourd in adai.
3. The classic combo for adai is definitely aviyal, but we prefer to have it with some kaara chutney or my husband just loves Mor kulambu with adai. so if you guys want to try new combos then give it a try.

I guess you guys like this recipe just as much as we do. So try it out and share your experience with me in the comment section below. And always, "Stay Positive and Keep Smiling😀".
