CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD WITH WHEAT AND JAGGERY

Chocolate Banana Bread is becoming a trending recipe especially among the people you all are diet concerned. There are thousands of recipes are available all over the net. Still, I thought my recipe is quite simple and more healthy. Because this recipe includes wheat flour, jaggery, Banana, Nuts, and Olive oil. As you all know every single ingredient is full of goodness.

And in general, we used to prepare this banana bread when the banana is overripe. Do you guys know one thing about bananas? Based on its color or ripeness the nutritional value will change. Actually, during the ripping process, the starch content in the bananas turn into sugar content. That's why raw bananas are too sticky. Considering the sugar levels it's always better to consume banana before it got the black dots.

After knowing this info we prefer to eat the bananas when they just start to ripen and because of the same, ripe banana can keep you full for a longer time than the overripe bananas. If not we will happily let them ripe more so that we can make this tasty banana breads with or without chocolate. Since it's healthy and it just includes every ingredient we would love to include in our diet we eat them as breakfast with a cup of black or regular coffee.

If we add cocoa powder then my kids won't be left anything for us😉😍. So happily I would add cocoa powder for them most of the time. What else we need other than making something good that your kids love, right. And just like I always say once you try the exact recipe, you can easily convert it to your preference according to your family's taste and preference. In the method and in Notes I have mentioned the possible changes you can do in this recipe like replacing jaggery or maida. Even you can bake this recipe as a vegan-friendly one by simply replacing the milk.

I guess I have given all the basic information you want to know about the Banana Bread recipe. And I am sure your kids will love them for sure, it can be a good break from our regular breakfast recipes for them and for the mom's as well. Then let's check out the recipe starting with the ingredients,

INGREDIENTS:

1. Wheat flour                    -2cup.
2. Banana                            -2-3nos.
3. Jaggery                            -1cup.
4. Olive Oil                           -1/2cup.
5. Milk                                   -1/4 to 1/2cup.
6. Nuts                                   -1/2cup.
7. Salt                                    -a pinch.
8. Cocoa Powder                -3tbsp.
9. Baking Soda                   -3/4tsp.
10. Baking Powder           -1tsp.
11. Vanilla Essence           -1tsp.

METHOD:

1. First grease the bread fan with olive oil or with some butter. Then preheat the oven to 350*F or 180*C.
2. Next in a mixie jar add banana, jaggery, and oil. And blend everything nicely to a smooth paste.
3. Then transfer the paste along with vanilla essence to a wide mixing bowl. Then using a siever add all the dry ingredients like wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
4. Start shifting all the dry ingredients through the sieve. Then combine all the wet and dry ingredients nicely using a spatula in cut and fold motion to add more air into the batter.
5. If the batter is too thick that it's had to combine then add room temperature milk little by little until you got a perfect consistency (I prefer a thick batter to get a nice bread texture).
6. Now add finely chopped nuts and give it a nice mix. Walnut will be too good in this banana bread but you can use any nut of your choice.
7. Then transfer the batter to a well-greased bread fan. Give it a double-tap just to make sure all the batter set nicely in the fan and to make sure it spreads evenly.
8. Next place this batter into the preheated oven and bake it for 35-40mins or until the tester comes clean when you poke the bread at the center.
9. Once the bread is baked completely remove it from the oven. After 5mins remove it from the fan and let it cool completely by covering the bread with a wet cloth. This is to make sure the bread remains soft while cooling. The cooling time may differ according to the size and thickness of your bread but in general, approximately it will take around 4hrs.
10. And finally slice it with a sharp long knife to get nice bread slices and enjoy it with your friends and family.

NOTES:

1. The jaggery I used here was tested before there was no dust or anything so I used it directly. If you are not sure of it the just dissolve its minimum level of water and add it to the mixie jar after filtering it. One important thing here is be aware of the quantity of water you are using here so that you can adjust the quantity of milk you are going to use later.
2. If you want to make it vegan-friendly bread then use just water or almond milk instead of milk.
3. Since coconut oil and olive oil are great for health I prefer to use them otherwise according to your availability and preference you can use any kind of oil you want.
4. And we are baking this particular bread for a longer time and because of the ingredients we used in this the top layer may burn a bit. But no need to worry it won't affect the taste of the bread so just make sure the bread got baked completely.
5. To make this bread with sugar and maida simply just replace the quantity of jaggery and wheat flour with sugar and Maida.
6. No need to worry about the small lumps in the batter while combining they will be get cooked while baking.

I guess this post gives you some ideas to make your own version of banana bread. Let me know your experience and some ideas that worked for you in the comment section. And always, "Stay Positive and Keep Smiling😀 ".
