 SIMPLE TASTY GUACAMOLE


Guacamole is one of the basic recipes of Mexican cuisine. Which is used as a dip, spread, or as a salad along with chips, tacos, and many other Mexican meals. Shortly it is called Guac in America. Guac is a creamy dip basically made of avocado and it is full of monosaturated fat. These are healthy fats that play an important role in the structure and function of our brain and other cell membranes throughout our body. Because of the fat in avocado, it helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels and people may feel full and satisfied for a longer time.

In other words, I guess I can compare Guacamole is like our coconut chutney which can be served with idly, dosa, poori, or even some people may (like my husband and his friends 😜) like to eat with parota. Likewise Mexican have this Guacamole with many other dishes. Guac is so creamy in texture it is very tasty and making this tip is really simple within a few minutes we can easily prepare this. In my home, it's everyone's favorite. Especially my kids love to eat this Guac with bread toast. 

In restaurants, they used to serve Guac with freshly made corn chips. The combo is heavenly. In most of the Mexican restaurants, it's complimentary so it's like a treat for me and my kids😉 we used to order the same as our meal, and my husband used to enjoy some tacos there as he like them the most again with some Guac😋. And here comes the recipe for Simple Tasty Guacamole,

INGREDIENTS:

1. Avocado                    -1no.
2. Lemon                       -1/2.
3. Green Chili              -1no.
4. Onion                        -1/4.
5. Tomato                    -1/2.
6. Salt                            -as per taste.
7. Coriander               -a few.

METHOD:

1. Clean and cut all the ingredients.
2. Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl.
3. Using a fork or with your hands combine everything together.
4. Check for seasoning and make necessary adjustments as per your taste.
5. And finally squeeze the lemon then mix it nicely.
6. Freshly made Guacamole is ready, serve it with some chips or toasted bread.

METHOD WITH PICTURES:

5. Freshly made Guacamole is ready, serve it with some chips or toasted bread.


NOTE:

1. Use fresh ingredients for better taste.
2. We prefer Guac with lots of avocado and less of other ingredients. You can add or reduce the ingredients in the recipe as per your wish.
3. A small tip to choose the fresh avocado is to check its stem part if that is fresh then probably the fruit will be fresh and it should feel slightly soft but it will not feel "mushy" to the touch.
